The downside of this path is that Bonnie has 20% less of a chance to inflict burn tokens. Additionally, Bonnie gets a speed token and 2 dodge tokens at the start of each fight. With the Survivor path, Bonnie's healing and healing over time abilities are both 50% stronger. This is more of a support-focused path and it can be quite tricky to get the hang of if you haven't spent much time with other support characters like the Plague Doctor yet.
